Project Summary
Eclipse Engineering designed a 12MGD greenfield facility to treat water from Cave Run Lake. The facility included flocculation basins, UF/MF membranes, GAC treatment, chemical feed systems. The facility generates their own .8% sodium hypochlorite with (2) 300 PPD MicroClor Systems.
The facility was designed prior to PFAs treatment being consideration. Even though the facility has never had a detection of PFAs the decision was made to prepare for that possibility. The project team decided to switch from Calgon’s F300 to F400 to ensure the facility is in compliance for years to come.
