On April 10th, 2024, US EPA announced the final national primary drinking water regulation establishing legally enforceable levels, MCLs, for six PFAS in drinking water. Accordingly, public water systems will have three years to complete initial monitoring and five years to implement a solution if the monitoring determines that drinking water levels exceed the MCLs.
